eMAR Clinical Support Team


The eMAR Team utilizes a multi-faceted approach for eMAR services. A collaborative effort between IT, nursing and pharmacy with extensive background in long-term care make transitioning to an electronic health system seamless.

  • Phoebe’s IT Project Manager is responsible for planning eMAR software implementations, providing timelines and strategies and supports the interface. The IT Project Manager also acts as a liaison between the pharmacy and vendors.
  • Clinical informaticists work directly with the Licensed Staff and are responsible for training client staff, building libraries that are customized to organizational policies, and initial loading for all records into the eMAR system. In addition the clinical informaticists complete ongoing Quality Assurance reports and provides reports to Nursing Administration.
  • Pharmacists specializing in geriatrics complete all of the order entry. The same pharmacists answer the phones during business hours, providing direct access for nursing staff and clients.
  • The eMAR team convenes daily to strategize implementations and address areas of concern. A detailed issues list is kept to make sure that all issues are resolved in a timely fashion. The team has biweekly conference calls with a Project Manager at PointClickCare® to make sure our recommendations and concerns are being heard.

PointClickCare® Preferred Partner
Phoebe Services Pharmacy has the distinction of preferred partner status for eMAR services with PointClickCare®. We are a Tier 1 partner meaning we provide the entire package of services necessary to implement and train their eMAR product. Our pharmacy is interfaced using a pharmacy initiated model. This means that all medication/treatment orders are charted by the pharmacist for the highest degree of accuracy.
